Advice for up-and-coming bands:

Just try to be yourself. Be creative. A lot of people try to follow trends. The music that is written from the heart is the music that lasts.

On their genre:

We are more of a fusion and use certain types of music together. Some songs fuse black metal and death metal, but there’s also celtic metal or fantasy metal. Prog metal takes influences from a lot of different genres grouped under theoretical metal.

On being a Canadian band:

Worst part of being Canadian is being mistaken for an American, especially when in the US. Sometimes Canadians don’t have specific accents and to the untrained ear we sound American more times than not. The best part is that people accept you with open arms once they know you are Canadian – is that because we’re not American?
